Our 1st participation in Destination Canada Education event

The visibility offered to immersive teaching during this important event allowed :

  • 400 new candidates to sign up to jobimmersion.ca;
  • hundreds of candidates to visit our booth during the event;
  • 95 new registrations as ACPI members.

Jobimmersion.ca, a project of the Canadian Association of Immersion Professionals (ACPI), took French immersion careers beyond Canada’s borders on February 25 and 26 when it participated in Destination Canada Education, an online job fair for the education sector.

This event, organized by the Réseau de développement économique et d’employabilité (RDÉE Canada) and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), was aimed at international francophone and bilingual candidates with training and experience in early childhood, primary and secondary education and French second language teaching who are looking for employment opportunities in Canada (outside of Quebec).

The jobimmersion.ca recruitment team hosted a booth alongside several pan-Canadian and provincial organizations, school boards and universities. In addition, Chantal Bourbonnais, the Executive Director of ACPI, gave an exclusive presentation on the subject of French second language teaching in Canada to hundreds of international candidates.
