Job Description
This is a Fixed Term Full-time (100%) position as a Kindergarten French Immersion Teacher at Elm Street Elementary beginning March 21, 2022 until June 30, 2022.

Qualifications and requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those that meet the French Language Proficiency requirement of Superior or Exempt as determined by the Ministers Directive;
Applicants must have or be eligible to hold a PEI Teacher’s Certificate;
Knowledge of school level curriculum;
Knowledge of effective assessment strategies;
Knowledge and experience with effective teaching strategies;
Effective oral and written communication skills with students, parents and colleague
Demonstrated commitment to on-going learning and school community.
The following would be considered assets:
Experience at the Kindergarten grade level;
Strong classroom management and organizational skills;
Ability to be flexible, creative, and a team player;
Knowledge and experience with the play-based curriculum;
Ability to collaborate with the Student Services team and grade level staff members;
Experience with Running Records and IEP’s;
Experience with PowerSchool;
Experience with EAL students and families.
