Elementary French Occasional Teacher
The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is one of the fastest growing school districts in Canada. We are seeking Elementary French Teachers (Occasional) to join our occasional pool. Once hired to the occasional pool, our Elementary French Teachers (Occasional) can immediately apply to long-term occasional Core French and French Immersion assignments.
Job Description
The Halton District School Board is currently seeking French teachers for our French Elementary and our Secondary Occasional Teacher rosters. Occasional Teachers work in a variety of schools throughout the Halton Region. Occasional Teachers are eligible to accept short-term (partial day to 10 days in duration) or long-term assignments of up to one year.

Qualifications and requirements
Prior to commencing employment with the HDSB:
- Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers;
- FSL Part 1 (or equivalent);
- Oral and written French proficiency;
- As we are an English board, oral and written English proficiency is required;
- Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months).
