Cardinal men seventh in

Western Washington Division II Invitation

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Freshman Mason Barmingham shot a 3-under 213 to finish in a tie for 11th at the Western Washington Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at Bellingham Golf and Country Club.

NIC finished seventh with an 870.

Colorado Christian’s Xavier Bighaus was the medalist with a 13-under 213, leading the Division II Cougars from Lakewood, Colorado, to the team title with an 827.

“This week was a tough field as Colorado Christian was the number one team in the country to win a national championship (Division II) last year,” said NIC men’s golf coach Russell Grove. “But it gives us something to work toward where we need to be.”

NIC will compete in the Brairwood Shootout at Brairwood Country Club in Billings, Montana, beginning Sunday.
