Warm, scattered morning fog trying to linger over Detroit metro area

The wonderful weekend weather extends into the work week in Metro Detroit.

Light smoke from wildfires is giving southeast Michigan vibrant sunrises and sunsets due to light scattering from the smoke. You may notice the sun looking more orange or red than usual at certain times.

Monday

Areas of scattered fog will occur Monday morning. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny with above-average temperatures. High temperatures will be in the 80s (average highs around 75).

Under mostly clear skies, nighttime temperatures will drop to around 60 degrees.

Tuesday

Tuesday’s weather will be almost a carbon copy of Monday’s conditions. Tuesday morning will bring a chance of scattered fog. It will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs around 80 degrees. Clouds will increase in the evening with lows around 60 degrees.

Wednesday

Wednesday is likely to be mostly cloudy and temperatures will cool slightly. Clouds from the remnants of Francine will move toward southeastern Michigan. The system can produce a few scattered showers, but most of the moisture will stay in southern and eastern Michigan. High temperatures will be between 75 and 79 degrees Fahrenheit, and low temperatures will be between 69 and 79 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thursday

Thursday will be partly cloudy and high temperatures will be in the mid-70s and low-80s. Low temperatures will be in the mid-60s.

Friday and Saturday

Friday and Saturday will feature mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will be between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit both days.

Sunday

Sunday, which marks the first day of astronomical autumn, will see a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will be around 21-27°C.
