Good Samaritans lift pedestrian’s vehicle after traffic accident

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (Gray News) – Massachusetts authorities are praising a group of good Samaritans who stepped up to help after a traffic accident on Friday.

The Somerville Police Department posted on Facebook saying that bystanders sprang into action after a car accident left a pedestrian trapped underneath a vehicle.

In the distance, on a traffic camera, the group of people can be seen lifting the vehicle from the pedestrian before depositing it several meters away.

The police department said the quick and selfless actions of bystanders made the difference and helped save the person’s life.

“Moments like these remind us of the strong community spirit we have in Somerville,” the department said.
