Chicago Traffic: Shooting reported on Stevenson Expressway at State Street; ramp from DuSable Lake Shore Drive closed

CHICAGO (WLS) — Illinois State Police are investigating a report of a shooting on the Stevenson Expressway on Chicago’s South Side Sunday morning.

ISP said troopers responded to southbound I-55 at State Street shortly after 5 a.m. for a report of a shooting on the freeway.

One person was injured in the incident, ISP said.

The DuSable Lake Shore Drive ramp to southbound I-55 is closed while police investigate.

The ISP did not immediately provide further information.
