Tennessee draft touts Tobi Haastrup as 2025 prospect

Tennessee offered a scholarship to 2025 Edge prospect Tobi Haastrup.

“After a great conversation with Coleman Minnis, I am fortunate to receive my offer to the University of Tennessee Division 1 12.” Haastrup said.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound four-star prospect is from Mayde Creek High School in Houston, Texas.

Haastrup is the No. 276 prospect in the class of 2025. He ranks as the No. 21 prospect and No. 39 player in Texas, according to 247Sports.

The Vols are one of four Southeastern Conference schools to offer Haastrup.

Haastrup has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, UTEP, UTSA, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Illinois, Texas State, SMU, Virginia, Boise State, LSU and Georgia Tech.

Tennessee has 24 commitments in its 2025 recruiting class: quarterback George MacIntyre, defensive lineman Ethan Utley, tight end Jack Vandorselaer, cornerback Dylan Lewis, running back Justin Baker, wide receiver Joakim Dodson, cornerback Tyler Redmond, safety Sidney Walton, wide receiver Radarious Jackson, offensive lineman Antoni Kade Ogumoro, edge Jayden Loftin, offensive lineman Nic Moore, defensive lineman Charles House, offensive lineman Douglas Utu, cornerback Tre Poteat, edge Mariyon Dye, wide receiver Travis Smith Jr., linebacker Christian Gass and safety Lagonza Hayward, tight end Da’Saahn Brame, defensive lineman Darrion Smith, offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. and linebacker Jaedon Harmon and cornerback Onis Konanbanny.
