The Albert Huggins situation has been addressed by the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys nose tackle shoved a Los Angeles Rams staff member during the teams’ joint practice on Monday, sparking outrage from the Rams team. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Huggins apologized and that he is comfortable with Huggins’ apology.

Mike McCarthy spoke about Albert Huggins’ behavior yesterday:

“His behavior was unacceptable. It has been addressed.
He has apologized. I am comfortable with his apology… That behavior is not what characterizes us. He clearly understands that.”

“His behavior was unacceptable. It has been addressed,” McCarthy said, according to WFAA’s Michelle Montaine. “He has apologized. I’m comfortable with his apology… That behavior is not what we’re known for. He clearly understands that.”

McCarthy elaborated saying that “emotional discipline in that moment” is what the Cowboys believe in and that Huggins’ actions “were not who we are.”

Cowboys staff reportedly told Huggins to leave practice immediately after the incident.

He is entering his fifth NFL season and Dallas will be his fifth different franchise. His most consistent usage was in 2023 for the Atlanta Falcons, appearing in 13 games and recording 22 tackles and two quarterback hits.

He’ll hope to find a role with Dallas, but training camp antics will mean he needs to regain some confidence.
