The MLB spring training schedule will begin on February 20 with the Cubs-Dodgers duel

NEW YORK — The 2025 spring training schedule begins Feb. 20 when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Chicago Cubs in the Cactus League opener in Glendale, Arizona, and the Grapefruit League begins the next day when the New York Yankees host the Rays in Tampa, Florida.

All 30 teams are scheduled to play on Feb. 22, Major League Baseball announced Thursday.

The Spring Breakout, which began this year and features prospects, returns March 13-16. Ninety-three players from this year’s breakout games have appeared in the major leagues this season.

Atlanta will play the Chicago Cubs in a crossover game in Mesa, Arizona, on March 24-25, and the Colorado Rockies will play Minnesota on March 25 in Fort Myers, Florida.

Exhibition games scheduled for regular-season ballparks March 23-25 ​​include Cleveland at Arizona and Kansas City at Texas, with more to be added. Houston will host Triple-A Sugar Land at Minute Maid Park.

The season begins on March 18 when the Dodgers play the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo, and the other teams open on March 27.
