OXNARD, Calif. — The Cowboys had two injury scares involving two starters during practice Thursday.

Receiver Brandin Cooks left the session with a sore knee and did not return. Safety Donovan Wilson left practice briefly but returned. Wilson collided with cornerback DaRon Bland on a passing play. Wilson was getting a neck check before heading to the medical tent.

The Cowboys held their final practice before Saturday’s preseason game in Las Vegas without starting linebacker Damone Clark (knee) on the practice field. Another potential starter, DeMarvion Overshown (hip), was limited in practice.

None of the starters are expected to play in Saturday’s game against the Raiders.

Backup cornerback Caelen Carson remained out while recovering from a root canal.

Tackle Earl Bostick (leg) returned to Dallas for surgery after being carted off the field in the middle of Wednesday’s practice.

Bostick is the third tackle, joining Nathan Thomas and Chuma Edoga, to go on the injured list. Edoga (toe), the favorite to win the swing tackle job, is expected to miss significant time, but his injury is not considered season-ending.

Tight end Peyton Hendershot (groin) returned to individual drills after missing practice time. Running back Deuce Vaughn (hamstring) practiced for a second straight day Thursday after missing a week of work.

“Deuce looked good, had some spectacular plays, yes, he missed some time,” coach Mike McCarthy said. “It was great to have Deuce out there.”
