City council and school board candidates line up in Paradise – Chico Enterprise-Record

PARADISE — At least one new person will fill a seat on the Paradise City Council after the November election, as only two of the three incumbents are seeking a return.

Greg Bolin and Steve “Woody” Culleton filed their paperwork before the candidate deadline on Friday. However, Rose Tryon did not, extending the deadline by five days to Wednesday.

Colleen Corners, Heidi Lange and David Porter also filed their candidacies. As of Tuesday morning, the city clerk’s office had certified the forms for all candidates except Porter.

In the Paradise Unified School District, four candidates ran for three board seats.

Incumbents Melissa Crick, Susan Davis and Emily Vail are seeking re-election. Zack Connell is the other candidate.

Both the council and the school board have five members each, elected to four-year terms at-large, rather than by district or trustee area.
