Former President Donald Trump is holding a rally in North Carolina as Vice President Kamala Harris tries to turn it into a swing state.

On Wednesday, Trump is scheduled to address supporters about “economic hardship” in Asheville, North Carolina, at 4 p.m.

The Trump campaign ad for the rally said, “Prices are outrageously high and the cost of living has skyrocketed,” claiming that “since Kamala Harris and Joe Biden took office, prices in North Carolina have increased by over 21%.” Harris is scheduled to unveil details about her economic plan on Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina.

While Trump maintains a narrow lead over Harris in North Carolina, recent polls indicate momentum in Harris’ favor is growing in the state, which the former president won by more than 74,000 votes in 2020.
