Prichard and Brown have spent the past four years as teammates on the Celtics, winning a championship in 2024 by defeating the Dallas Mavericks in five games. Griffin, a six-time All-Star, appeared in 41 games with Boston during the 2022-23 season.

Although the 35-year-old decided not to participate in the 2023-24 season to spend more time with his family before outgoing On April 16, Pritchard was one of several Celtics players who “begged” him to return to the team for another year (per Brian Robb of MassLive.com). Saturday was an eventful day for the 2023-24 Celtics squad, as three starters also won Olympic gold medals in Paris. Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White were part of Team USA’s run to the top of the podium.

All five active players will return to Boston next season as the Celtics look to become the first team to win back-to-back championships since the Golden State Warriors in 2018.
