Jaya and Regine Velasquez shared the stage again in California and left fans in awe with their emotional duet performance of “Habang May Buhay.”

The OPM singers reunited for the “ASAP Natin’ To” show in California, as seen on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel on Sunday, August 11.

Jaya, who resides in the United States with her family, described her reunion with Velasquez as “nostalgic” and “pure joy” in an exclusive interview with the Kapamilya network.

“We see each other, but there’s nothing we can do. But the fact that we were able to talk, that we were able to catch up,” Jaya said. “I love that girl, I love my horse.”

On her Instagram page, the Philippine Queen of Soul also expressed her gratitude to the celebrities who took the time to meet her daughter Sab, who recently turned 18.

“Hey Sab, I hope you had a great time during the ‘ASAP’ concert in California, days before your 18th birthday,” the singer told her daughter. “I was so excited for you, watching you smile while you were talking (and) looking at all your favorite stars, some of whom are friends. I pray that one day I can be the PA while you perform with them.”

“Thank you to all my fellow artists who gave love to my girl,” she continued, mentioning Velasquez, Martin Nievera, and former ABS-CBN president Gabby Lopez. “Thank you ASAP for allowing Sab to join us.”
