Who performed at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics?

Paris has capped off an extraordinary two-and-a-half weeks of sport and Olympic excitement with a star-studded spectacle at France’s national stadium and from Long Beach in Southern California. The French capital has handed over the hosting of the Summer Games to the next city on the list: Los Angeles in 2028.

Snoop, Dr. Dre, Billie Eilish and Red Hot!

Snoop Dogg, who has brought his star appeal to the Paris Olympics with multiple appearances on NBC, kept his momentum going on a pre-taped show from his native California. After performing “Drop It Like Its Hot,” the rapper invited Dr. Dre to rap his classic “The Next Episode” in Long Beach, California.

Billie Eilish performed “Birds of a Feather” from her third studio album “Hit Me Hard and Soft.” Red Hot Chili Peppers performed their 2003 hit “Can’t Stop.”

Tom Cruise makes a grand entrance

As in his many “Mission: Impossible” stunts, Tom Cruise launched himself from the top of the Stade de France while HER played his guitar. He rode a motorcycle through the audience while HER played his guitar. In a pre-recorded sequence, he drove across Paris before boarding a plane and parachuting onto a farm.

HER sings the US national anthem

With a guitar in hand, Filipino-American singer HER sang the US national anthem, while Simone Biles and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stood behind her. She played her custom Stratocaster during the handover from Paris to Los Angeles.

Other musical performances at the Olympic closing ceremony

1. If you don’t know who performed during the closing ceremony, we’re here to help. Parisian singer and model Yseult closed the show singing a cover of Frank Sinatra’s classic “My Way,” which is derived from the French song “Comme d’habitude,” composed by Jacques Revaux and Claude François.

2. The performance by French band Phoenix was so electrifying that some athletes couldn’t help but get on stage. Security tried to corral the Olympians from getting on stage. The Grammy-winning band performed “Lisztomania” and “If I Ever Feel Better.” Ezra Koenig performed the song “Tonight.”
