UNCW basketball teams announce conference opponents

WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA – Highlighted by home-and-away games with the College of Charleston and Campbell, the UNCW men’s basketball team learned its Coastal Athletic Association opponents for the 2024-25 season.

Teams will face each of the league’s 13 other members as part of an 18-game conference schedule. Each team’s slate consists of five repeat opponents (home and away), four home-only opponents, and four road-only opponents, giving each team nine home and nine road games. Two of the five repeat opponents have been designated as “permanent opponents” to preserve regional rivalries and geographic ties.

Conference games will be primarily scheduled for Thursdays and Saturdays, with some games played on Mondays. CAA matchups will be available on FloHoops, CBS Sports Network and local television partners throughout the league’s footprint. Additionally, the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship semifinals and final will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

The CAA also announced the UNCW women’s basketball team’s conference opponents for the 2024-25 season.

The Seahawks will play an 18-game conference schedule, with nine home games and nine away games, against the league’s 13 opponents. Home and away opponents include Campbell, Charleston, Hampton, North Carolina A&T and Towson.

The Cougars and Camels continue to represent UNCW’s perennial opponents in women’s basketball.

The Seahawks will host Elon, Hofstra, Monmouth and Stony Brook at Trask Coliseum as home opponents during the upcoming season. UNCW rounds out the circuit with visits to visiting rivals Delaware, Drexel, Northeastern and William & Mary.

The CAA Women’s Basketball Championship will take place March 12-16, 2025, at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, DC.

Conference games will be played primarily on Friday and Sunday. All CAA games will be available nationally on FloHoops, with select matchups broadcast on various East Coast regional sports networks.

Conference game dates and times, along with the Seahawks’ full non-conference schedule, will be announced at a later date. UNCW previously revealed the women’s basketball team’s non-conference home opponents.
