Pavement repairs on Illinois Route 122 to begin Tuesday

DELAVAN — Pavement repairs on State Route 122 between Delavan and Interstate 155 in Tazewell County will begin Tuesday.

Bloomington Route 9 construction and closures planned through summer 2025

The project will include patching, milling and repaving, which will reduce Route 122 to one lane during work hours with traffic controlled by flaggers.

Work is expected to continue through the end of November, according to a news release from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Drivers should be aware that delays may occur and allow extra time to travel through this area or use alternate routes. Drivers are also asked to pay attention to changes throughout the work zone regarding speed limits and other conditions.
