WATCH LIVE: Kamala Harris speaks to a black sisterhood in Houston

Vice President Kamala Harris speaks to a Black community in Houston, Texas.

Harris is scheduled to begin speaking at 8:30 p.m. EST. It will be her second visit to Houston since becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee last week, and she previously appeared to speak at a teachers union conference.

Harris is expected to announce her running mate sometime before her rally in Philadelphia next week.

Following the inaugural event, Harris and her running mate will hold events in Wisconsin, Detroit, Raleigh, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.
