2024 Calgary Stampede sets all-time attendance record – Calgary

Calgary’s signature event is known as the world’s greatest outdoor show and this summer attracted its largest number of visitors ever.

In an email sent out Monday, Calgary Stampede organizers confirmed that the 2024 edition of the event attracted 1,477,953 people to the Stampede grounds, surpassing the 2012 attendance record of 1,409,371.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make the Calgary Stampede the greatest outdoor spectacle on earth,” organizers said.

This year, the Stampede was held from July 5-14. On Sunday night, Calgary Stampede CEO Joel Cowley spoke about the impressive attendance numbers at this year’s event, saying the numbers mean less to him than the experience.

The Calgary Stampede will return to the city on July 4, 2025.
