NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Amtrak is reporting power issues between New York City and New Haven and has canceled Saturday service between New York and Boston.

Reports of faulty circuit breakers have caused power outages between New York’s Penn Station and New Haven’s Union Station. Two trains will run between New Haven and Boston in an attempt to overcome the delays.

Customers affected by the service interruption will not be charged additional fees if they change their reservation. Those changes can be made by calling Amtrak’s reservation center at 1-800-USA-RAIL.

Amtrak will post its latest updates and changes on its X (Twitter) @AmtrakNECAlerts.
