Sunday won’t be as hot in southeastern Georgia and northeastern Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – Tonight, temperatures will dip into the 70s after a very hot and humid Saturday. The cold front over Georgia remains stalled and will bring more moisture to the area tomorrow, keeping highs between 90 and 95 degrees, a bit cooler than Saturday. We do not expect the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory on Sunday.

Normal summer temperatures return Monday, with highs staying in the mid-90s. Rain chances continue through the afternoon.

We’re also keeping an eye on the tropics. Tropical Storm Beryl is expected to strengthen into a Category 1 hurricane Sunday night. It’s likely to make landfall north of Corpus Christi between 2:00 and 8:00 a.m. Monday.
