A body was dumped in a garbage container in Melbourne’s north

Staff at a waste management facility have found the body of a woman after it was dumped inside a wheelie bin in Melbourne’s north.

Kenyan police have used tear gas to disperse anti-government protesters following violent clashes. Protesters have rejected President William Ruto’s calls for talks, even after he dropped tax hike proposals. Protesters have called for President Ruto to resign.

Staff members at the Cooper Street facility found the woman’s body while transporting green waste and immediately contacted police.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances of this suspicious death. However, investigators believe the woman was found inside a container that was collected from a property in Coolaroo on Tuesday and then transported to the Epping waste management facility.

An autopsy will be performed to officially identify the victim.
