Stamford postpones Independence Day fireworks until Sunday – NBC New York

Stamford’s Independence Day fireworks show will now take place on Sunday after being postponed due to the threat of rain.

The fireworks show at Cummings Beach has been moved from Saturday due to possible rain and thunderstorms in the forecast, the city announced Friday.

Beach entertainment will begin at 6:00 pm on Sunday. There will be food stalls and street vendors on site.

The big fireworks show will start around 9:00 p.m.
