Tonight, the Perth restaurant was preparing to return to business as usual, with a member of staff telling Nine News the situation was “very worrying”.

“This is all under investigation, and when I know exactly (what happened), I will let you know,” he said.

The family wants a thorough investigation and hopes no other diners go through what they went through.

“I think it’s pretty simple, right? You can’t run a restaurant and allow chemicals to be in an area when these things can happen,” Marcus said.

The incident is being investigated by the City of Nedlands, with support from WA Health.
